Nothing is more symbolic than a simple form
Can even a simple, everyday object like a nail have a story to tell and a message to convey? A question that kept nagging at me until it was answered.
The concept behind this series is based on the evocative force of the shapes of ancient nails with their characteristically square, irregular heads, commonly used carpentry nails, used, crooked and twisted by use. Each nail seems to tell its own story of union and/or separation as it wraps itself around its wearer.
